Did you know you can create a family group with your Nintendo Account and invite up to seven other Nintendo Account users to join? Each family group has one admin. Only the admin can add or remove members to the group. And if you’re a parent or guardian, you can set restrictions and parental controls on any child accounts you manage.

How to set up your family group
A Nintendo Account family group lets you add seven Nintendo Accounts in the same group. Here’s how you can create a family group and add members to your group.
- Visit account.nintendo.com on your PC or smart device and sign in to the admin Nintendo Account.
- Select “Family group,” where you’ll see a list of group members.
- Select “Add a member.” Select “Invite someone to your family group.”
- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite (they must have a Nintendo Account with the same email address).
Once they accept the invite, their account will appear in your group.
If you have young gamers in your household, you can create Nintendo Accounts for them so the whole family can participate in the My Nintendo™ program. This lets everyone in the same family group have fun earning and redeeming My Nintendo points* using their own accounts.

Keep engaged with your family’s gaming activities

Nintendo Switch™ Parental Controls is a free app for smart devices that helps you engage with your family’s gaming activities. It can help create a safe environment for your child when playing on the Nintendo Switch system.
With the app, you can:
- Monitor your Nintendo Switch system’s playtime and set limits on how long it can be played.
- View gaming activity to see what games your family has played.
- Restrict console features, such as preventing games above a certain age rating from being played.
