Nintendo and the LEGO Group are unveiling an incredible king-sized build of The Mighty Bowser™ at San Diego Comic-Con. The 14-foot brick built interactive figure can be seen at the Nintendo booth (#235) on the show floor.
The whopping build is an impressive feat with 662,872 bricks used and 3,290 hours spent bringing the beloved character to life. Operated by a control panel, the model’s arms, head, eyes, eyebrows and jaw all move and are accompanied by sound effects and background music.

The king-sized creation of Bowser pays homage to the smaller, more manageably-sized LEGO Super Mario The Mighty Bowser, which will be on sale from Oct. 1. Built from an incredible 2,807 pieces, it features a highly detailed recreation of the King of the Koopas, complete with controllable movements and the ability to launch a fireball, reflective of Bowser’s huge and powerful features.
LEGO® Super Mario™ lets kids experience the playful world of Super Mario in an entirely new way in the physical world. The experience features interactive LEGO® Mario™, LEGO® Luigi™, and LEGO® Peach™ figures that collect coins in real-life game levels that have been created with LEGO bricks. It’s all about building and rebuilding – creating unique courses and seeing how many coins you can get in 60 seconds. Beyond the LEGO Super Mario Starter Courses, this play theme also consists of Expansion Sets and Power-Up Packs allowing the interactive characters to change suits and skills, as well as enemy characters that are available in blind bags.
